This traveling exhibit is perfect for animal-loving kids and curious little explorers. Instead of focusing on the fastest or strongest animals, Survival of the Slowest teaches how some of nature’s slowest creatures survive using camouflage, defense mechanisms, and unique adaptations.
The exhibit feels very interactive and relaxed, making it an easy summer activity even with younger kids.
What You’ll Find
- Animal encounters
- Keeper-led sloth experience
- Butterfly Garden
- Nature exhibits and hands-on learning stations
- Interactive displays throughout the center
One of the highlights of our visit was definitely the sloth talk and snack time. The kids loved getting to learn more about sloth while watching him enjoy his watermelon snack. Such a unique experience!
Don’t Miss These Times:
2:30 PM — Sloth Talk + Snack Time
1:00 PM — Animal Encounters
All Day – Butterfly Garden (line closes at 3:30 PM)
If you can, definitely plan your visit around the sloth encounter because it was one of the best parts of the experience.
