Miracle Park
Opened in 2021, Miracle Park is a custom-made, all-inclusive playground that offers a barrier-free play experience for children of all abilities. It's located at 1005 Eden Terrace in Rock Hill, SC, right across from the Miracle League baseball field and features a fenced-in play area with multiple play zones, handicap-accessible equipment, and unique play structures.
Inclusive playgrounds are designed to provide a welcoming place for children of all abilities, including kids with limited mobility, to have fun and play freely alongside others.
This play space is big enough to guarantee hours of play. Multiple play zones spread across a large area. There's even a small outdoor gym for adults, tucked away in a corner of the park, away from the main play elements.
There are different sections for different activities. Slides and climbing elements are on one side of the playground, while swings, zip lines, and marry-go-rounds on the other.
We visited over the weekend and the park was busy as expected. There were many kids playing in every pocket of the park and people throwing birthday parties, but there was still plenty of room for all the children to
spread out and not to bump into each other at every turn.
This playground could be super toddler-friendly if you visit on weekdays or early in the morning when older kids are in school, as many play structures are low to the ground with gentle slides and interactive panels. Plus, the ground has a rubber-like surface, providing excellent cushioning for little explorers. And if you've got escape artists, the fence around the play area keeps them safely contained.
Spoiler alert... you're in for a thrilling ride as there are two ziplines in the park. One has a disk seat that you can simply hop on and the other has a special seat with a high back and a seatbelt.
While many play structures are in the open sun, there are still many sections of the play area that are well covered with umbrellas and natural shade. There's also a shaded area with picnic tables inside the fence.
There's also a larger-than-life interactive musical arch.
Features:
- This is a fenced-in playground with lots of fun opportunities for all ages and abilities.
- The rubber-like ground accommodates wheelchairs and walkers for easier movement and provides cushioning in case of a fall.
- All play structures are accessible by ramps with wide walkways leading to them.
- There are multiple different play areas, including play structures for big and little kids, zip lines, plenty of swings, a climbing dome, balance mounds, covered picnic tables, and even a huge musical arch.
- While playground is partly shaded, there are plenty of structures that are completely covered with umbrellas or natural shade.
- There are benches with umbrellas for parents and caregivers throughout the park.
- Restrooms are just outside of the gate.
This playground is great for all ages and abilities. Have you been to Miracle Park?!
