Stepp's Hillcrest Orchard is a fourth generation orchard just outside of Historic Hendersonville, NC. This 100-acre farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina is one’s of your best bets for a full-on fall experience.
Stepp's Hillcrest Orchard
Activities include: apple cannon, corn maze, pumpkin patch, hay rides, jumping
pillow, straw playground, food staples, U-Pick orchards, and even grape picking.
They especially have tons of fun things for the kids. And gorgeous orchard vistas and photo backdrops throughout, of course.
Before you go:
- The farm is open from mid-August through October.
- Admission is free. You pay for individual activities or what you pick.
- There are 6 orchards and 26 apple varieties, so you won't run out of fruits to choose from.
- You can download the WishTrip app on your phone to find out which varieties of apples are ready for picking and what row they are in.
- Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash.
- And I must mention, the apple cider donuts are made in-house and utterly delicious.
Always call ahead or check out the farm's Fb page before your visit, as weather and crowds may impact open hours and fruit availability.
