I don't think I know anyone who wouldn't be happy to spend a fall day in the orchard. One day, we were driving from Rock Hill back to Greenville, SC, and saw a sign, written out in an eye-catching vintage font, pointing to Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery located right along the road. Windy Hill is a small family orchard with the vibe of a roadside attraction and a quick pit stop.

Fall Road Trips From Greenville, SC: Sky Top Orchard

 

 

Nothing says "Fall" quite like an apple-picking adventure in the mountains. Strolling through the orchard, nibbling apples picked right off the trees, enjoying bumpy hayrides, and sipping on a freshly-made apple cider are pretty much the pinnacle of fall fun in my book. And spoiler alert...it never gets old. And this year we started our harvest season at the Sky Top Orchard in Flat Rock, NC.
