And one of my favorite things? So much is already included with admission!
The 8-Acre Corn Maze
Of course, you can’t visit Shelby Corn Maze without actually getting lost in the corn!
The main corn maze covers 8 acres, so this isn’t one of those tiny mazes you walk through in five minutes. There’s plenty of room to wander around, take wrong turns, and let the kids try to figure out which way to go.
If you’re visiting with little ones who aren’t quite ready to tackle the big maze, there are activities designed especially for younger kids too.
So Many Activities for Kids!
The biggest surprise for us was just how much there was to do besides the corn maze.
Farm admission includes more than 18 courtyard activities, and there are activities spread throughout the farm.
The kids can climb, run, play games, explore, and burn off plenty of energy before you even make it to the pumpkin patch.
One of the biggest hits is the GIANT jumping pillow!
If your kids are anything like mine, plan on spending some time here because getting them to leave may be the hardest part of your visit.
There are also play areas and activities geared toward younger children, which makes Shelby Corn Maze a good option if you're visiting with kids of different ages.
Take the Hayride to the Pumpkin Patch
When you're ready for another classic fall activity, hop aboard the hayride to the pumpkin patch.
The ride itself is part of the fun, and once you arrive at the pumpkin patch, you can explore, take fall pictures, and pick out a pumpkin to bring home. Pumpkins are purchased separately from admission.
There are plenty of cute fall photo opportunities around the farm, so this is definitely one of those places where you'll want your camera ready.
What's Included With Admission?
For the 2026 season, Farm Admission is $16 per person ages 3 and older. Kids 2 and under are FREE.
Admission includes:
8-acre corn maze
18+ courtyard activities
Giant jumping pillow
Hayride to the pumpkin patch
4 activity tickets
Those four activity tickets can be used toward some of the additional attractions around the farm.
There are also extra activities that require additional tickets, including things like the apple blasters, farmer paintball, rubber duck races, barrel train, and Barn of Cornfusion.
More Than Just a Corn Maze
Shelby Corn Maze actually has more than 40 things to do and see around the farm, so I would give yourself plenty of time for your visit.
Between the corn maze, play areas, jumping pillow, games, hayride, pumpkin patch, farm animals, photo spots, and additional activities, this can easily turn into a full afternoon of fall fun rather than a quick stop.
And if you have older kids or teenagers, Shelby Corn Maze also transforms after dark on Friday and Saturday nights in October with its Trail of Terror haunted experience. The haunted attraction requires a separate ticket.
Food and Fall Treats
You don't necessarily have to leave when everyone gets hungry either.
There are several places to grab food and treats around the farm, including fair-style food, ice cream, sweets, kettle corn, and seasonal treats. For 2026, Shelby Corn Maze is also making apple cider donuts right on the farm!

Shelby Corn Maze is open September 19 through November 1, 2026.
Fridays: 4:00 PM–10:00 PM
Saturdays: 10:00 AM–10:00 PM
Sundays: 2:00 PM–8:00 PM
The pumpkin patch closes at 7:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays in October, so keep that in mind if you're planning an evening visit.

Shelby makes an easy fall day trip from the Greenville/Spartanburg area, especially if you want something a little different from the farms you visit every year closer to home.
Is Shelby Corn Maze Worth Visiting?
Absolutely—especially if you’re ready for more of a full farm day!
We are lucky to have places like Grandad’s Apples and Jeter Mountain Farm nearby, where you can visit without paying admission and still enjoy some great play areas and activities with the kids. Jeter Mountain Farm, for example, has a huge covered playground that you can enjoy without paying general admission. If you haven’t been to either of these farms yet, definitely check them out—I have posts about both that can help you plan your visit.
But we’ve been to our favorite Hendersonville apple farms more times than I can count, and this fall we were ready to explore beyond our usual stops and find somewhere that felt like a completely different farm day.
That’s where Shelby Corn Maze really delivered. Instead of stopping mainly for apples, donuts, and some playground time, we could spend hours working our way through the 8-acre corn maze, playing around the farm, bouncing on the giant jumping pillow, taking the hayride out to the pumpkin patch, and trying different activities along the way.
Yes, there is an admission fee, but you’re paying for a much bigger activity-filled experience. For us, it was a fun change from our usual fall traditions and exactly the kind of new farm adventure we were looking for.
And at $16 for ages 3 and up with kids 2 and under free, I especially like that you don't have to pay separately for every single thing the kids want to do.
