New Zoo-Inspired Playground at Cleveland Park in Greenville, SC!

 

 

The playground right outside the Greenville Zoo has always been one of our favorite stops during family outings. Whether we were visiting the zoo, exploring the Swamp Rabbit Trail, or just enjoying a day outdoors, we always found time to stop and play. And now, this family favorite has a whole new look and has gotten a whole lot more exciting! The brand-new zoo-inspired playground at Cleveland Park is officially open, and it's packed with fun features for kids of all ages!

I remember how we used to park our car at Cleveland Park and head out on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, stopping to play at the Cleveland Park playground first and then at Brooks’ Playground along the way. And of course, no trip to the Greenville Zoo was complete without one more turn on the swings or one last trip down the slide!

So it's really wonderful to see this little corner of Greenville get such a beautiful new play space!

What's New at the Cleveland Park Playground?

The playground has been completely transformed with colorful, zoo-inspired play structures, climbing challenges, swings, and plenty of opportunities for kids to explore.

Here's what families can look forward to:

• A towering 27-foot play structure packed with climbing and sliding fun!
• Two separate play areas designed for children ages 2–5 and 5–12.
• A ninja-style obstacle course for kids who love climbing, balancing, and testing their skills.
• Animal-themed play features and educational panels inspired by the neighboring Greenville Zoo.
• A fun seek-and-find challenge featuring zoo animals.
• Ten shaded swings for kids who can't get enough swinging!
• Brand-new picnic shelters where families can take a break and enjoy a snack.

More Than Just a Playground!

One of the things I love about Cleveland Park is how easy it is to turn a quick playground visit into a fun family outing.

You can bring your bikes or scooters and enjoy the Swamp Rabbit Trail, take a walk through the park, or visit the Greenville Zoo right next door.

And now, with the new playground, there's one more reason to spend a little extra time here!
